Welcome to our Atomic Pinball Arcade Games
The vision for CP Pinball, which later became Atomic Pinball Arcade, began when Chuck Sanderson was running a tool and equipment store in Wood River, Illinois. With his wife working night shifts, he often spent evenings playing pinball at local alleys and bars, eventually deciding to buy his own machine. That decision pulled him into the pinball community, where he met people like Dave Reynolds, Chad Keller, and Larry Lassen, who helped him learn the craft of restoring and collecting machines. As his skills grew, so did his collection, and he spent years buying, fixing, selling, and refining the quality of the games he owned.
In 2007, Sanderson opened CP Pinball to house more than eighty machines and create a place where people could enjoy quality pinball, tournaments, and special events. Over time the collection became too large for the original building, which led to a move into a larger facility in 2023 and a new name, Atomic Pinball Arcade, now home to more than one hundred twenty five machines. Sanderson expresses deep gratitude to the many friends who supported his journey, from website creators and maintenance helpers to tournament organizers and repair experts, and above all to his wife Joyce for her patience and support throughout the entire adventure.
The arcade began with one machine and a vision for quality play. Every game is maintained with care to keep the fun going.
